Seventy two years old,Chandra Bahadur Dangi who hails from Nepal could possibly be the World's next Shortest man. Current Reigning shortest man is Junrey Balawing from Philippines. Balawing stand just 23.5 inches tall whereas Chandra Bahadur Dangi is 22 inches tall. However, Guinness officials are yet to measure him. Measuring an inch shorter than current title holder might actually make this 72 year old official world's shortest man.
Until now Dangi never realized that he could be top
contender for world's shortest man title after forest contractor found his
miniature height and he ushered Dangi to claim for the title. As soon as Guinness
came to know about this they responded quickly and Guinness officials will be
arriving in Kathmandu this Sunday.
"I am very happy to be in Katmandu for the first time
in my life. I am here so I can take the Guinness title,” Chandra Bahadur Dangi
told the AP after landing from the plane at Tribhuvan international Airport.
This is not the first time that Nepalese has actually been competing for the
world's shortest man as Khagendra Thapa Magar who is also from Nepal was the officially
the World Shortest Man in June after Junrey
balawing of Philippines was awarded the title of shortest man. Now once again
Chandra Bahadur Dangi expects to bring this title back to country.
