Chris “The Dutchess" Walton claims record for world's longest nails

Eighteen years of patience with lot of care and protection, Chris “The Dutchess" Walton have nails as long as nearly twenty feet. This forty-Five year old singer who hails from Las Vegas is now officially part of Guinness Book of World records, her right hand finger nails measures 9 feet and 7 inches and her left hand finger nails measures 10 feet 2 inches."It’s kind of like a body part that I was born with, now I don’t know what i would do without them", Chris “The Dutchess"Walton said in an interview in front of the New York Public Library. From driving a car, shopping and doing household chores the only thing that she finds hard with her 20 feet finger nails is dig her own pockets."Everything else I can do myself-driving, shopping, cleaning the house. Although when vacuum, the cord gets tangled in my fingers."

She furthers explains that she doesn’t engage herself in swimming, not because of her nails but due to her hair thing she keeps herself out from the pool.Chris"The Dutchess" Walton demonstrates using her knuckles to text with such fingernails. She is mother of 5 and grandmother of 3 did not intentionally grow her nails but it was rather an accident."I never set out to make it into Guinness. It just happened”, she further adds "One day I stopped cutting my nails. I liked the way they looked and they just kept growing."

 Whether the practices of Chhaupadi or accuses of Witchcraft may be a things of past in this 21st century technology driven world. Infact with the development and evolution of science and living standards these superstitious practices has been put on history. But somewhere around the world what If such claptrap practices is still being practiced? What if People are still being tortured or killed in the name of witchcraft? What If the violence and discrimination still prevails among the voiceless?

Laxmi Kumari Budha who is was only 16 years old teenage girl from Nepal lost her life while staying in Chhaupadi. The term Chhaupadi might be a new terminology for the most of the readers, however for the people of Nepal, it is practices or tradition where menstruation women or girls are forced to stay away from their home and take shelter in shed or Chhaupadi. Girls and women are considered to be impure and are forbidden to touch men and even the courtyard of their own home. Furthermore, they are barred from eating any nutritious food during menstruation phase and they have to survive on dry food and plain rice. Such cruelties are rampant in country like Nepal where illiteracy and superstitions practices exist on the mind of the most of the people residing in rural areas.

Unfortunate incident like that of Laxmi Kumari  Budha is everyday story there where some woman die on Chhaupadi where some of them are raped. Death due to Snake bites, Lack of ventilation, Rape are some of the risk that woman have to bear during this seclusion period.

Kalli Biswokarma,a 47 year old mother of one was mercilessly tortured as she was accused of practicing witchcraft which is rife in most of the rural part of nepal. She was taken forcibly from her home by a group of around 35 people and was detent in cowshed where she was forced to eat human faeces and urine. Furthermore, they cut her skin with blade and finally she was forced to confess that she was witch inoder to save her life. Such kind of practices of torturing is more rampant and targeted basically to woman belonging to poor family and low caste. Hundred of women suffer the same ordeal every Year in Nepal in the name of witchcraft.

Day light Robbery, gang rape or child molestation and other crimes are  also a major case that needs to be highlighted but the incident I have put on spotlight are some of the major examples that needs to be addressed as they are pure form of crimes in the name of superstition in underdeveloped countries like nepal. Considering all the above given crimes, the world needs to address such injustice besides headlining Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson death for a month or creating a hype for launch of upcoming I pad.

New World's Shortest Man

World Shortest Man

Seventy two years old,Chandra Bahadur Dangi who hails from Nepal could possibly be the  World's next Shortest man. Current Reigning shortest man is Junrey Balawing from Philippines. Balawing stand just 23.5 inches tall whereas Chandra Bahadur Dangi is 22 inches tall. However, Guinness officials are yet to measure him. Measuring an inch shorter than current title holder might actually make this 72 year old official world's shortest man.

Dangi has five brothers who are all of average heights. He never visited doctor nor been outside of his village. First time in his life, he has been outside and currently he is in capital to snatch the title from 18 year old Phillipines,Balawing.

Until now Dangi never realized that he could be top contender for world's shortest man title after forest contractor found his miniature height and he ushered Dangi to claim for the title. As soon as Guinness came to know about this they responded quickly and Guinness officials will be arriving in Kathmandu this Sunday.

"I am very happy to be in Katmandu for the first time in my life. I am here so I can take the Guinness title,” Chandra Bahadur Dangi told the AP after landing from the plane at Tribhuvan international Airport. This is not the first time that Nepalese has actually been competing for the world's shortest man as Khagendra Thapa Magar who is also from Nepal was the officially the  World Shortest Man in June after Junrey balawing of Philippines was awarded the title of shortest man. Now once again Chandra Bahadur Dangi expects to bring this title back to country.

"Chun Chun" Pictures of China's Heaviest New Born Baby Weighing 15.5lbs

Twenty Nine year old mother from city of Xinxiang in china's Henan province has set record for the heaviest baby born in china weighing 15.5 pound. The baby was born just after the start of lunar New Year, the year of dragon. The delivery lasted around 20 minutes and baby has been named "Chun chun " and born in such auspicious day of lunar new year, the baby is considered as “little dragon ".

Wang yujuan, 29, told that her pregnancy with the "little dragon” was different than her now 6 years old daughter."I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter.My belly was bigger than it was then"."I guessed the baby would be between ten and eleven pounds.I never expected to hear that he weighs 15.5 pounds."

According to Guinness World Record, the title for the heaviest birth goes to baby boy born in 1879 in Ohio where the baby weighed whopping 23 pounds & 12 ounces at the time of birth. However, baby had its last breathe just after 11 hours after his birth.

According to a recent study, what causes high birth weight is the baby's genes, or genes shared between mother and child; in other words, the chance a baby will weigh more at birth is greatly increased if the mother gains excessive weight during pregnancy

The 29-year-old mother Wang said that she felt something different with this pregnancy than with her first pregnancy of now 6-year-old daughter

Wang stated, “I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter. My belly was bigger than it was then, I guessed the baby would be between ten and 11 pounds. I never expected to hear that he weighs 15.5 pounds”

Chun Chun's mother delivered the super-size baby by Caesarean section in a local hospital in Xinxiang city, Henan province on Saturday which lasted around 20 minutes

The couple also has a six-year-old daughter who weighed just over 4kg when she was born. Shang Lili, head of the obstetrics department at the hospital where Chun Chun was born, said the baby was "twice as heavy" as a normal newborn

Previously, China's heaviest known newborns were three other babies born between 2008 and 2010 who weighed exactly 15.4 pounds
